I’ve been rereading Seveneves by Neal Stephenson, and really enjoying it. I’m a big fan of his and have read most of his scifi work. I think my all time favorite is Anathem followed by Snowcrash. If you enjoyed Ready Player One then you should check out Snowcrash as they have a similar theme of escaping to the virtual world.
I have to admit, I’m blown away by this. Not only does the film look amazing, but it’s done the old school way.
The whole film is made like the legendary SciFi movies of the 80’s (Star Wars, Alien and Blade Runner). Think miniatures, matte paintings, rear projections – You won’t find any CGI here!!!
