I remember watching the moon landing live at the tender age of nine, on a black and white TV in my home in Dublin, Ireland. The whole family were there, glued to the broadcast.
When those grainy images showed Armstrong taking that first step, I felt like I was witnessing a new era for humanity. To say it was awe inspiring, is an under statement, it was seismic, and it began in me a life-long fascination with space and science fiction.
And who knows, maybe I’ll live long enough to see the return of humans to the Moon, someday.
